Quarantunes is a response to the irreversible effects that the global pandemic will have on the music and entertainment industry. Live music, the primary avenue by which independent artists grow their brands, spread their names, and make money, may just be a thing of the past; at the very least, live music won’t be the same for some time. The people who make up the music industry, the artists and consumers alike, are reacting to this change in different ways. Artists are looking for different streams of revenue, while consumers are changing their listening habits completely.
If music consumption is changing, then so must music production and presentation. Without consistent discovery and concerts in the near future, independent artists could be hurt by the Coronavirus. Quarantunes is a way to combat that.
The idea is a subscription-based, daily email that will arrive in a subscriber’s inbox at 5 PM with an exclusive video performance from a young artist. Subscribers have the option to donate. The money raised will be split amongst the artists and the Black Lives Matter movement, and all money raised will go to these artists and the Black Lives Matter movement. You can donate below.
